Palletizer Rental in Salt Lake City & the Wasatch Front
Salt Lake City is the Intermountain West's crossroads — distribution for the whole region, plus a distinctive manufacturing base in food, supplements and consumer goods. Those plants ship cased product in growing volume, most of it palletized by hand. Dorna rents a cobot palletizer cell for $1,999/month with $0 upfront, installation, training and maintenance included, and serves Utah plants with on-site installation and start-up.
The Intermountain hub with a supplement-plant twist
Utah's plant base is broader than most people expect: food and beverage production, a nationally significant nutraceutical and supplements sector, consumer goods and packaging, plus distribution clusters in West Valley City, Ogden and North Salt Lake serving the whole Mountain West. Supplement and food cases are uniform and steady — and heavy enough to punish a human stacker over a full shift.
Utah's workforce is famously tight — strong employment means the end-of-line stacking job competes with every employer in the valley. A cobot palletizer takes the position off the hiring list: cases up to 20 kg (44 lb), your patterns, the same pace every shift.
What the $1,999/month rental includes
One flat monthly payment puts a complete, working palletizing cell on your floor — not a bare robot dropped at your dock:
- A complete cobot palletizing cell — robot, lifting column, gripper and controls — sized to your master case and pallet pattern.
- Freight delivery to your facility, then on-site installation, start-up and recipe creation for your pallet patterns.
- Hands-on training for the operators and maintenance staff who will live with the cell.
- All maintenance included while you rent; if the cell needs service, that cost is ours.
- Optional safety guides or a cage, fitted when your plant's safety review prefers them.
Terms are straightforward: $1,999/month, $0 upfront, on a 12-month term, with installation, operator training and maintenance inside that one payment. If ownership is the goal, a rent-to-own structure is available — tell us and we will set the agreement up that way from the start. The cell itself is a collaborative robot, built to work safely alongside your people rather than behind a fence; that is the core of cobot palletizer rental, and it keeps the footprint small and the install fast.
How service works for Utah plants
Dorna Automation Solutions is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Salt Lake City is one of the metros we serve across the USA. Utah plants are a short hop from our Arizona base, and installations here follow the same in-person model. It starts with a virtual line walkthrough: you share your case dimensions and weights, line rate, photos of the end of your line and the floor space available, and we confirm the fit with your team on a call before anything is signed.
On your confirmation we prepare the cell and ship it — delivery to your site typically takes 3–4 weeks. Our founder attends on site for installation, start-up, operator training, and creating the recipes for your pallet patterns. Your team receives the delivery and provides a pallet jack or forklift to move the cell into place. After hand-over, maintenance stays included for the life of the rental, and you deal with the same team that installed the cell — not a ticket queue.
Salt Lake City palletizer rental FAQ
Do you actually install in Salt Lake City, or just ship equipment?
We install, in person. Dorna is based in Scottsdale, Arizona and serves Salt Lake City on the same model as our Arizona customers: the cell is delivered to your plant, set up, taught your pallet patterns, and your operators are trained during the same visit. Delivery to site typically takes 3–4 weeks from confirmation.
How much does cobot palletizer rental cost in Salt Lake City?
$1,999/month with $0 upfront. Installation, operator training and maintenance are included in that one rate — there is no separate service contract. The term is 12 months, and a rent-to-own structure is available if you prefer to own the cell at the end.
What cases can the cell handle?
Cases up to 20 kg (44 lb) each, with a robot reach of up to 1,880 mm to cover standard pallet patterns. Case sizes can vary between production runs — the cell stores a recipe per product and pallet pattern, and we teach those recipes during installation. Share your master case dimensions and we will confirm the fit before you commit.
What does our plant need to provide?
Very little: a 110 V power supply (15 A maximum), a compressed-air connection, and roughly 3,000 × 3,000 mm of floor space at the end of the line. Your team receives the delivery and provides a pallet jack or forklift to move the cell into place; we handle installation, start-up, training and pattern teaching from there.
Which Salt Lake City areas and industries do you serve?
Plants across West Valley City, Ogden, North Salt Lake, Clearfield, Lehi, Draper and Spanish Fork — and anywhere else in Utah on the same model. The fit is any operation stacking uniform cases by hand: food and beverage, nutraceuticals and supplements, consumer goods, packaging and distribution. If your plant sits outside the metro, ask — we serve the whole USA.
